This week we mostly worked on Evita and the exam dialogues.
Oh What a Circus
We made a couple of changes in the choreography, such as a bit more movements and walking around on stage during the instrumental parts of the track. The plan is to carry candles in our hands while walking, which, I thing, would be an awesome sight from the audience.
Blood Brothers
There's little to do about this scene apart from practicing it as many times as possible with my partner. We made some experiments with different movements and positions, and we decided which one to go for. Also, my teacher told me that I have the habit of looking down all the time, which I need to fix, because if I don't lift my head up, the audience doesn't see my expressions and reactions. So that's another thing for me to work on.
The Maids
We performed our scene to our teacher, who was quite impressed. Though we still need to plan the positions, movements, props etc. properly, I also think we did quite well for the first try. The other thing I have to practice is my short monologue at the end of the scene. As I still haven't finished reading the whole play, I didn't have a chance to make notes about my character's objectives, but I think once I do that, the monologue will be easier to perform, too.
